 | Cell Press journal Chemistry and Biology recently highlighted the research achievements of Institute of Bioinformatics in its 'Innovations' section. The article narrates the transformation of IOB from a small research center dedicated to biological databases into a multifaceted research institute ideally poised to carry out proteogenomic analyses of a large number of organisms which are relevant from a global as well as an Indian perspective. |

 | Human Protein Reference Database: In collaboration with the Institute of Bioinformatics,
our laboratory has developed the Human Protein Reference Database, a definitive repository
of human proteins. This database currently contains over 20,000
human proteins. This database should serve as a
ready reckoner for researchers in their quest for drug discovery, identification
of disease markers and promote biomedical research in general. |
